DANA is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate our next-generation data platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing highly available, scalable, and reliable data infrastructure on the cloud. You will collaborate closely with SREs, system engineers, MLEs, and backend engineers to deliver efficient data pipelines and ensure our platform's cost, performance, and reliability are continuously optimized.
What You Will Do:
- Build, maintain, and operate the core layers of DANA's data platform infrastructure.
- Collaborate with SRE, System Engineers, MLE, and Backend Engineers to deliver reliable and high-performing data pipelines.
- Ensure platform reliability, proactively optimize cost and performance, and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues.
- Automate data pipelines, orchestration, and platform maintenance to improve efficiency and scalability.
What You Will Need:
- Strong background in Data Platform Engineering (Bash, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow).
- Solid Software Engineering skills in Python, Spark, Hive, SQL, Go, or Rust.
- Proven experience in building complex Data Platforms on the Cloud, from scratch.
- Deep understanding of ETL, Data Integration, and Data Warehousing concepts.
- DevOps skills, including CI/CD, Terraform, and Linux system administration.
- Familiarity with AI Engineering concepts (Vector/Graph DB, Evaluation, RAG, Fine-tuning, API integration).
