Key Account Manager

Reporting to the CEE Regional Sales Director for the Electrification area, the Key Account Manager is a strategic and hands-on commercial role responsible for driving Prysmian`s growth across the DIY, Electrical Installations, Data Center and Wholesale segments in Germany. This position plays a key part in executing our go-to-market strategy, strengthening customer relationships and expanding our market presence. The candidate will be working from any site in Prysmian`s facilities/offices in Germany.

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

DIY / Electrical Installations & Industrial Sales

Develop, manage, and grow relationships with existing clients in the DIY and electrical installation sectors. Identify and convert new business opportunities into long-term customers. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and alignment with Prysmian's strategic goals. Present Prysmian's cable solutions, demonstrating their value in electrical installations and industrial use cases. Prepare competitive offers, lead negotiations, and close deals that support company targets. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in the DIY, installation, and machine-building markets. Liaise with internal teams (engineering, production, product management, logistics) to ensure product delivery and alignment with customer requirements. Support technical discussions, aligning client requirements with Prysmian's product portfolio.

Data Center & Wholesale Sales

Build and nurture partnerships with data center clients and wholesale channels. Identify new business within the data center sector and expand Prysmian's footprint. Deliver presentations of Prysmian's specialized cable solutions tailored for data center applications. Lead the full sales lifecycle: offer preparation, negotiation, and contract closure. Stay abreast of trends in data center infrastructure, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technical alignment, timely delivery, and product lifecycle support.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Proven experience in the cable industry, ideally within sectors such as electrical installation, DIY, machine building, or data centers.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships.
  • A proactive mindset — ambitious, goal-oriented, and motivated by building business.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; fluency in German and English is required, additional languages are a plus.
  • Customer-first approach, with the ability to understand technical needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany (50–75%) as required.
