Job Title

This is an on call/per diem position.

This position is responsible for supporting the overall care of children in the Intergenerational Learning Center, frequently working in partnership with a Teacher. Responsibilities include supporting age appropriate programs that provide interesting, stimulating and challenging indoor and outdoor experiences, as well as assisting with children's daily activities. This position helps support our intergenerational program, nurturing interaction between residents and children. Included in these responsibilities are maintaining the classroom, preparing materials for the children and certain clerical and record-keeping duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • STARs Basic Child Care Center Certificate or equivalent as determined by program manager within 30 days of hire
  • Registered in Washington STARS MERIT system for early childhood personnel upon hire
  • Apply for a Portable Background Check through the WA State DCYF MERIT system upon hire
  • 1 year of experience working with children ages birth to 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: A CDA or 12 ECE related college credits as determined by the program manager. Or
  • Associate's Degree - AA in ECE or Child Development or an AA in another field with at least 12 ECE related credits as determined by the program manager.
