Office Support Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, proactive and detail-oriented Office Support Assistant to help keep our workplace tidy, welcoming and well-organised. This is a hands-on support role covering general office upkeep, cleaning, supplies management, and day-to-day practical tasks that keep the office running smoothly.

Location: Office-based (Fleet, Hampshire) Hours: 8 hours per week (including approx. 2 hours outside normal office hours) Reporting to: Office/Facilities Manager Salary: £15 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and General Upkeep

  • Hoover and maintain cleanliness of: the Office, Meeting rooms and Common areas
  • Wipe desks, surfaces, and whiteboards regularly
  • Clean kitchen areas (worktops, sink, floors)
  • Clean toilets (including sinks, mirrors, floors, and consumables checks)
  • Maintain shower facilities where applicable
  • Remove cobwebs and keep all areas presentable
  • Clean internal windows periodically
  • Empty rubbish, recycling, and confidential waste bins

Kitchen and Facilities Support

  • Refresh supplies (milk, tea/coffee, guest items)
  • Load/unload and occasionally deep clean the dishwasher
  • Clean microwaves, kettles (including descaling), and cupboards
  • Ensure kitchen remains clean, stocked, and welcoming

Office Supplies and Stock Management

  • Monitor and replenish: Stationery supplies, Kitchen consumables, Toiletries (soap, toilet roll, etc.)
  • Place orders and manage deliveries
  • Restock supplies across the office
  • Check plant health, water/feed, and arrange replacements if needed

General Office Tasks

  • Handle incoming/outgoing post
  • Keep signing-in sheets and reception area organised
  • Support with basic facilities checks (e.g. fire alarm test coordination)
  • Arrange confidential waste collections
  • Assist with general ad-hoc tasks as needed

We are keen to hear from candidates who are organised, self-motivated, and take pride in maintaining high standards. You'll be trustworthy, dependable, and comfortable working independently, with a strong attention to detail and a friendly, approachable attitude. Previous experience in office cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities support would be an advantage, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
