Head Of Quality - Business Aviation Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Quality - Business Aviation Services to join the Rolls-Royce Deutschland Business Aviation Services team.
In this role you will provide leadership and direction on Quality and HSE to the Business Aviation Services organisation in line with the defined business strategy, enabling the business to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction.
The role is located in Dahlewitz and comprises the full breadth of Business Aviation Services globally including our locations in Germany, Canada and North America.
In this role, you will be directly leading a small team of Quality Engineers but also influence the achievement of the Quality and improvement objectives as part of the wider Business Aviation leadership team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development & deployment of the Quality and HSE strategy for Business Aviation Services.
- Develop the people capability and culture to ensure process compliance and to meet regulatory, customer and business requirements.
- Lead on the systems of governance including metrics and Key Performance Indicators for Quality and HSE to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in meeting requirements, business goals and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure relevant law/regulation, customer requirements and business strategy are understood and complied with.
- Drive change to the Management/Operating System to mitigate risks, maximise effectiveness and eliminate waste.
- Enable Right First Time through the coaching and application of error prevention methodologies, reducing the risks from technical, human and organisational factors.
- In partnership with the risk owners, provide proactive assurance that regulatory, business and customer requirements will be met through an assurance strategy targeted at risks and associated controls.
- Protect the business and the customer through coaching on how to manage and resolve high impacting and complex problems.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications:
- University degree in engineering / industrial engineering or quality management
- Comprehensive working experience relevant to Quality within the Aerospace Industry, ideally in an aviation services environment
- Well-developed customer and relationship management skills to work as part of the Business and Quality Leadership team, and with other internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies, e.g.; Six Sigma, Lean & 8D
- Excellent planning, communication and decision-making skills in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Competent on the relevant international regulations and standards (e.g. PART 145, AS9110 etc.)
- Experience of leading teams, influencing and building relationships at different levels
- Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
- A sound understanding of human performance and a positive safety culture for both people and product safety
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
