IT Training Support Specialist

Responsibilities

The IT Training Support Specialist serves as the primary subject matter expert for IT Help Desk tools, systems, and processes. This role is responsible for training and educating staff on IT services, applications, and support procedures, while also assisting with day-to-day Help Desk operations. The position supports incident response, access management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality IT service delivery. Occasional travel may be required to provide on-site training and support.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Help Desk tools, ticketing systems, and IT support processes.
  • Basic understanding of EMR system fundamentals.
  • Understanding of network concepts, hardware issues, and common troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies and web browsers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively train users with varying technical skill levels.

Preferred qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, Help Desk operations, or customer service.
  • Experience using Help Desk or ticketing software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and user account management.
  • Prior experience delivering training, leading workshops, or mentoring staff.
  • Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment (HIPAA knowledge preferred).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $27.00 to $35.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
