To provide safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and expert diagnostics. This role helps prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and ensure fleet reliability.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and vehicle/equipment testing.
Plan, schedule, and review in-house and outsourced fleet work orders.
Communicate with drivers and route schedulers.
Manage ordering, purchasing, stocking, and inventory of vehicle parts.
Perform complex technical repairs.
Monitor and manage assigned budget efficiently.
Keep complete records of repairs, maintenance, and expenses.
Stay updated with regulatory requirements for fleet operations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
CDL required.
ASE Certification in diesel mechanics or trade/technical school certification.
Minimum 2 years in diesel and heavy equipment repair.
Knowledge of fleet maintenance principles and practices.
Experience with refrigeration units, evacuation, and recharge.
Ability to analyze repairs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Up-to-date with trends and innovations in fleet repair.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb.
