Hours: Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $85,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Location: Dayton Ohio

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility will be software development on new and existing smart televisions and related web platforms. This includes the following:
• Developing/maintaining software running on Windows, Linux, Android, embedded controllers, and web servers.
• Ensuring adherence to industry quality standards for code development
• Participating in integrated product teams in the role of developer.
• Communicating project goals, schedules, measures, and product-related topics to internal departments and external contractors.
• Preparing product specifications, technical drawings, and reports.
• Providing support of deliverables to various internal departments and external partners
• Validating that features in deliverables have traceability back to product requirements and architecture.
• Working with a team of fellow engineers and other specialists to help guide a project to completion.

Skills Required:

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience
• Software development experience in any of these areas:
• Embedded software using C, C++, and assembly
• Web software using Angular, Javascript
• Linux using Bash, Python
• Windows apps using VB.NET, C#
• Android apps using Java, Kotlin

Experience with IPTV streaming and ethernet technologies is a plus. Ability to speak, read, and write Korean, Mandarin, and/or Italian languages is a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Responding to and resolving assigned bug reports in a timely fashion
• Testing and validating product operation, ensuring compliance with specifications, agency standards, and customer requirements.
• Supporting sales, marketing, service, and manufacturing departments with technical product knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Creating software testing standards and documents for internal processes.
• Collaboration with European and Asian engineering firms.
• Occasional domestic and international travel.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
• Other duties as assigned/required.
• Driven with a sense of urgency
