As a Customer Service Representative, you provide full-service account management regarding our products and services within an industrial distribution environment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from inquiry to delivery.
Order and Account Management: Process requests for orders, quotations, follow-ups, and customer returns/credits, ensuring consistency with company policies and standards.
Customer Communication: Respond thoroughly and timely to all inquiries via phone, email, or direct contact, consistently representing the company in a professional manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, fabrication, credit, inventory control, and warehouse personnel to promptly address and facilitate customer needs.
Issue Resolution: Investigate order entry, shipping, and billing errors, coordinate solutions with appropriate departments, and follow through to completion.
Product Expertise: Utilize online learning and company literature to understand the technical aspects of products and services, effectively facilitating the order process.
Sales Support: Increase sales by identifying opportunities and emphasizing promotions or add-on sales during the order process, leveraging strong product knowledge.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers, providing proactive follow-up to keep customers informed of the status of their requests.
Compliance: Complete required training and follow all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales.
Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively under time constraints (minimum 1 year experience).
Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products (a plus) and experience with a large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system like JDE (preferred).
Solid basic arithmetic skills (working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and measurements).
