Customer Service Rep
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Salary range: $22 - $24 Location: Pittsburg, CA
Are you a detail-oriented, energetic, and highly dependable individual with a knack for technical problem-solving and a passion for helping people? Join our team as a Customer Service Representative, where you will be the primary point of contact for our valued clients, helping them with custom orders for architectural sheet metal, flashings, and HVAC fittings.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing the customer experience from initial inquiry to final delivery. Your duties will include:
- Consultation & Needs Assessment: Engaging with customers via phone, email, and at the front counter to understand their project needs regarding metal fabrication and HVAC components.
- Quoting & Design Support: Generating accurate price quotes with the customer.
- Order Management: Accurately processing customer orders and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed daily.
- Follow-Through: Taking ownership of customer projects, seeing them through from initial concept to the final processed order.
- Logistics: Preparing and shipping small customer orders using carriers like UPS.
- Communication: Maintaining clear, professional, and friendly communication with all customers and team members.
Required Skills

- Technical Aptitude: A basic, fundamental understanding of how things are built (e.g., construction, manufacturing, or trades).
- Dependability: A proven, excellent work history and the commitment to be very dependable.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and phone etiquette skills.
- Bilingual: Able to understand and translate from Spanish to English.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Strong math skills for accurate measurement, quoting, and calculations. Able to convert measurements as needed.
- Organizational Skills: Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Tech Skills: Basic computer skills, including typing and familiarity with standard office software.
- CRM Skills: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management system workflow.
- Construction Knowledge: Prior construction knowledge is needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in HVAC, sheet metal, or construction is very helpful but, not required.
- The ability to fluently speak and write in Spanish is a strong asset.
