Senior Software Engineer (Konsult/Underkonsult) – C++/Python & Linux

We are looking for an experienced software engineer for our client centrally located in Uppsala. You will contribute to the design, development, and management of advanced software solutions on Linux-based platforms, focusing on performance, robustness, and long-term quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next generation software on Linux-based platforms
• Create high-performance solutions tailored for the client’s systems and needs
• Build and improve robustness and reliability features in Linux environment
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and customer support
• Contribute to bid/offer work and cost estimation
• Participate in roadmap and planning for future work

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Very good skills in C++ and Python
• Solid experience in Linux development (userspace and/or system-near)
• Strong communication skills and a habit of working in teams
• Fluent English
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience with machine learning/neural networks (training, inference, model optimization)
• Experience with performance-critical applications and large data sets
• Habit of using Jira and Git
• Habit of using LLM tools in the development flow (code support, documentation, etc.)

You prioritize effectively, communicate risks/uncertainties, and propose alternative solutions when needed. You gladly help where needed to ensure the team’s success.

Practical Details

• Start: Immediate / as agreed
• Scope: Full-time
• Duration: 6–12 months, possibility of extension
• Location: On-site at client, central Uppsala
• Allocation: Consultant/sub-consultant via partner network – requirement: Swedish F-tax certificate
