Outside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales by visiting assigned retail grocery stores, presenting new items, selling promotional programs, supporting merchandising, and maintaining product distribution. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with store teams and client partners. They excel in both independent work and collaborative efforts, focusing on delivering consistent results at the store level.

Visit assigned retail grocery stores on a monthly basis to execute sales priorities.

Present new products and secure orders from store buyers.

Sell promotional activities and, when possible, secure off-shelf displays.

Monitor distribution on existing items to ensure proper stocking and coverage.

Assist with merchandising tasks such as rotation, display maintenance, pricing, and planogram adherence.

Support stores on special projects such as demos, remodels, new store openings, and promotional events.

Maintain current product knowledge, including new items and promotions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with regional managers and store personnel.

Communicate store issues, competitive insights, and trends to leadership.

Perform additional duties as assigned, including checking date codes and verifying planogram compliance.

Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple store visits efficiently.

Comfortable presenting new items and promotions to store decision-makers.

Ability to troubleshoot store issues and provide timely updates to internal teams.

Willingness to work in cold environments (refrigerated/freezer sections) as needed.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on special projects.

High school diploma/GED required; 2+ years prior grocery retail or CPG experience preferred.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Proficient with Google Chrome-enabled devices and up-to-date smart technology.

Moderate to intermediate understanding of MSO (Outlook, Teams/Zoom, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to speak, hear, and communicate effectively.

Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp, and stand on a daily basis.

Ability to work in cold environments, including refrigerated sections of retail stores.

Strong visual acuity and dexterous use of both hands.

Work performed in typical store environments with moderate to high noise levels.
