People Operations Architect
For our client we're looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about building People Operations from the ground up. Someone who sees a blank HRIS as opportunity — not obstacle.
You'll be the architect of our People function, with full ownership to design, automate, and scale how HR works across the company. If you've ever thought, "I wish I could start fresh and build this properly," this is your chance.
Our People Team partners across Germany, Italy, and Spain, spanning People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partnership is in an exciting phase of growth and transformation — building structure, introducing smarter ways of working, and creating a culture where people feel empowered, supported, and set up to thrive.
No legacy systems. No outdated habits but the mandate to build.
Your Responsibilities:
The Foundation
- Design and own all core HR processes end-to-end: onboarding, offboarding, contracts, HRIS, benefits, compliance
- Lead our HRIS migration, evaluate, select, and implement a system that fits our needs
- Create structures that work for a remote-first, international team
- Review and update company policies and guide managers on ER topics.
- Handling labor laws, audits, and making sure the company stays out of legal hot water.
The Automation Layer
- Analyze the company needs and select the most suitable tools, create new processes and procedures
- Automate day-to-day work, enabling the whole team to focus on our most important asset: The People
- Use AI where it makes sense not as a buzzword, but as a daily tool
- Build AI into the People service portfolio: think AI-assisted onboarding, smart self-service, automated employee support
The Intelligence
- Build clean data foundations from day one
- Create reporting that leadership uses to make decisions
The Experience
- Be the go-to person for our team across the entire employee lifecycle
- Design an employee experience that makes people want to stay
Your Profile:
- You have 5+ years in People Ops/HR, ideally in a scale-up or tech environment
- You've built people processes or processes along the employee lifecycle before
- You use AI tools daily (ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, equivalent)
- You're structured and autonomous, you don't need someone to tell you what to do next
- You communicate with clarity and empathy
- Remote-first is how you prefer to work
- You're fluent in English & German
