The Supervisor Optima Solutions is responsible for supervising one or more functions within a CPU, CPP, and/or Tinta Room Management, services that are paid for by the client. The areas may include: processes, logistics, control/monitoring, analysis, technical aspects, management of subcontractors (e.g., Tier 2), and/or quality. This is a direct client contact position.
Responsibilities include promoting and maintaining regular internal and client meetings in all areas of responsibility, supporting local management to coordinate actions with potential impact on sales. May be requested to serve as backup for the Manager. Responsible for managing the work environment, including 5S and EHS activities. Implement training programs for teams. Responsible for ensuring the completion of the COSP Dashboard, SST, CAIR, Oracle, FOCUS, etc. Prepare and provide reports to the Manager (or Senior Manager) and to the client, as necessary. Manage projects and continuous improvement actions to improve client KPIs. Ensure that all client and PPG EHS requirements are followed and reviewed appropriately. Responsible for documenting human resources requirements specific to the workplace. Manage and support activities related to Quality and certifications (IATF, ISO, Customer Specific Requirements, etc.). May be requested to assume one or more responsibilities in the following areas:
Process: Manage on-site products to ensure final quality requirements. Manage and monitor the client in all process parameters that may affect final quality requirements. Develop and implement action plans when necessary to recover any material deviation from PPG. Identify possible root causes when the defect is not related to a PPG material.
Logistics, Control & Analysis: Plan and coordinate the material needs of all products provided to the client under Commercial and Service Agreements. Work with the client to evaluate projected demands. Ensure that the client can always meet its manufacturing plan with on-site material in a timely manner. Manage inventory levels to ensure there is no accumulation of obsolete material, lack of material and coordinate the introduction of new products. Analyze and report monthly consumptions (kg/pc). Coordinate billing and invoicing requirements of the account (payment of products by kg, as well as end of series). Responsible for the administration of expenses and control of office supplies, laboratory safety equipment, and the good development of the team's activity at the client.
Technical Laboratory: Plan and coordinate all laboratory activities agreed with the client. Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, protocols and work instructions. Modify the process/product after agreement with the client if any laboratory test is out of specification, according to corrective action procedures. Control and verify that all laboratory tests are performed according to standard procedures. Analyze laboratory results and propose corrective action plan with preventive actions. Maintain control of laboratory equipment or tool inventory.
Chemical Product Suppliers Tier 2): Must be able to locate products that solve customer problems and coordinate performance tests of various suppliers' products in new or substitute products. Responsible for obtaining contractual cost savings with a minimum required percentage of total program cost savings per year. Responsible for reducing overall chemical expenditures and meeting contractual cost savings goals. Responsible for maintaining contractual performance specifications in cabin water treatment services (detack), if required. Supplier management regarding quality, cost and service. Utilize FIFO to manage the inventory of all indirect and/or direct chemical products for the plant. Accounts payable & receivable – provide detailed monthly invoicing and financial closings to keep all client payments and accounts payable up to date; ensure payment. Provide monthly inspections for consumables. Maintain and provide VOC (GMR2) data from the end of the month to the environmental department, including the updated master material list by a fixed date each month.
Quality Control Responsible for administering the entire Quality Management System agreed with the client. Actively monitor all agreed quality KPIs, data processing, and follow up and act according to trends. Handle quality management documents and equipment used on-site. Prepare evaluation reports for the client and for the PPG organization and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. Serve as an interface with PPG and Tier 2 production sites (if applicable) to notify of potential quality problems. Participate in the team involved in root cause analysis and problem-solving processes. Lead any quality complaints and problems, including efficiency control and customer feedback. Organize, execute and attend all on-site audit activities of the client. Actively support PPG and the client in all problem-solving issues.
