Sales Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at the Taubman's Trade Centre in Moonah.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, with a desire to learn and develop in their career. No previous paint or hardware knowledge is expected, as full product training will be provided on the job.
The role will be 38 hours per week, with rostered hours inside the opening hours of 7am to 4.30pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with our customers
- Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store
- Tinting and mixing paint, pelletizing paint drums, arranging orders for delivery, and colour matching
- Deliveries using the Store vehicle (where applicable)
- Merchandise and replenish stock promptly and ensure it is presented well
- Store housekeeping and following the store's safety standards
- Manual Handling of paint tins
Requirements
- Previous retail assistant experience with the desire to provide excellent customer service to our growing customer base. You won't be afraid to be hands-on daily in the store
- Keen to learn new skills and have an invested interest in building your expertise on our products
- You will have the flexibility to work on a 38-hour roster between the hours of 7am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
- You will be comfortable with manual handling as part of your normal day. For example - lifting heavy paint tins, pushing and pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing for long periods, kneeling, loading the ute for paint deliveries, and doing the delivery and unloading on the other side
- A valid driver's license is essential
- Paint experience is not essential - training is provided
