As a Customer Support Chemist at PPG APAD Coatings, you will work in lab to execute projects and develop innovative and profitable coating products. You will not only engage hands-on at the bench but also lead high-level projects, training, and daily team activities. You will play an important role in the professional development of lab expertise through your commitment to scientific exploration and team success. You will report to Customer Support Manager. Your working location will be in Tianjin, China.
Test and develop coating formulations to meet market and customer needs, and/or improve the efficiency of existing products or processes.
Develop and foster a talented lab team with combined depth and breadth of technologies. Collaborate with product/segment management to outline project scope with coating specifications, technical deliverables, and timelines.
Advise on issues/upgrades to formulation guidelines.
Create formulation guidelines for new product platforms being launched.
Provide technical training to new product launch team including technical support experts, process engineers and customers etc.
Ensure lab activities compliant with local, national, and internal EHS regulations.
More than 3 Years' experience in coating R&D, with experience in plastic coatings.
Bachelor's degree or above.
Proficient English reading and writing skills, CET-4 or above.
