PPG Quality Management Systems And EHS Management Systems Specialist

Ensure that all related requirements regarding Quality Management Systems and EHS Management Systems are obeyed.

The incumbent is the key contact and spokesperson for the plant in the product process area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain the Process Map, Control Plan, Flow Chart, and PFMEA.
• Conduct process onsite audits to ensure implementation.
• Retrain supervisors and operators as needed.
• Standardize the formula/routing to direct the operator to finish a batch. Identify the key materials and process as needed.
• Work with Technical, Production, and other relevant departments to optimize the formula and process.
• Continue to improve the operation process with Lean and Automation technology.
• Define the manufacturing process and develop the Process Map, Control Plan, Flow Chart, and PFMEA.
• Agree with the Technical Department on the proper QC testing for a specific product.
• Work with the Technical Department to introduce the product to the Customer to assure the product produced meets the needs of the end user.
• Implement the FLC process to insure the successful production of new/revised formulation/process using a system of cross-department review/blessing.
• Source and introduce new equipment to meet product and process requirements.
• Ensure Product Stewardship requirements are followed.
• Work with the Cell supervisor, technical, and related departments to define and solve the product and process problem.
• Record the problem solving in the CAIR system timely.

Qualifications include:

• Strong communications skills with all levels of the plant, technical department, sales organization, and customers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Build respect.
• B.S. in chemical engineering or a relevant major.
• Good English communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Safety Management, and Quality Management System.
