Customer Service Representative, Export

As the Customer Service Representative, Export, you will manage international orders by coordinating between clients, logistics teams, and customs, ensuring accurate documentation (bill of lading, invoices) and shipment delivery. You will place orders, track cargo, resolve delivery issues, and maintain a high level of communication with overseas agents to meet compliance and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Order Processing: Enter, track, and manage sales order and export bookings in company systems (e.g., SAP, OTM).
• Documentation: Prepare and verify accurate export documentation, including customs paperwork and bills of lading, to comply with international regulations.
• Communication: Act as the primary liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide shipment updates.
• Logistics Coordination: Arrange for cargo pickup and delivery, ensuring compliance with air or ocean freight standards.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in documentation.
• Billing & Reporting: Ensure accurate, timely invoicing and generate performance reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or international shipping.
• Understanding of export regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Experience interpreting and responding to customer questions and requests, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in tracking software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business or logistics is preferred.
