Customer Service Manager

We're currently seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead and develop the delivery of services to customers through the Customer Service team. These requirements are generally in the areas of order fulfilment, colour advice, technical advice, pricing information and general business queries.

The role has scope to be based either in Eastern Creek, or at our Clayton site.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure active leadership in line with PPG policy and practice, particularly in the areas of EH&S, Business Conduct, Ethics and Quality
  • Creating and maintaining an open and participative working environment in which team members clearly understand their responsibilities and the performance standards expected
  • Recruitment and development of the Customer Service Team
  • The establishment and continued development of regular reporting of agreed performance measures
  • Maintaining cooperative working relationships with Warehouse & Distribution and Sales & Marketing
  • Continually developing the Customer Service function to be integral to the business by implementing short and medium-term goals which are consistent with PPG strategy and business plan
  • Manage Customer Service to be an effective part of the Supply Chain, by establishing, regularly reviewing, and reporting KPI's

Requirements

  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
  • Display of strong working relationships with customers ideally from a manufacturing background
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Oracle order management
