Contract: Permanent
Salary: Circa Β£65k (dependant on experience)
Working hours: 35 hours per week, full-time. You'll agree your working pattern with your manager.
Reporting to: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: London Docklands β Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
The purpose of your role
Using a "Cloud First" approach, our IT department provides the foundation for all IT services and delivers the core platforms and applications for our organisation.
You'll be using advanced technical knowledge to ensure consistent and automated deployments, continually drive improvements in DevOps methodologies and the technologies used, and work on a variety of projects to make sure the systems are working effectively and have the capability needed for the future. This includes ensuring security, stability, and compliance are always considered when designing or operating any service or environment.
You will be the go-to people for anything related to system deployments and improvements, will take ownership of escalated technical problems and challenges, ensuring they are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner, and will be assisting with day-to-day operational and development needs.
You'll be continually abreast of changes in the industry, ensuring we maximize our investment and actively collaborate with our external partners to ensure that our roadmaps align, and we take full advantage of technology as it evolves. You'll review and investigate alternative tooling, tech and technical relationships to continuously improve the service.
As a strong communicator you will build relationships with other teams and our users to understand the requirements and improvements that can be made, and will be collaborating with Architecture, Development and Machine Learning/AI teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
You'll take ownership of new technical developments in your area, designing integrations and environments, weighing up a range of considerations and deciding the best course of action. You will be responsible for managing your work to meet project and operational deadlines, including SLAs around day-to-day support.
