Position Summary

Responsible for establishing and implementing the most cost-efficient production methods. Plans and coordinates the activities required to manufacture specified products within established safety, quality, and cost standards, while also ensuring schedule compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience. • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Proficiency with PC applications. • Understanding of SPC principles. • Strong project management skills.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. • Ability to develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions. • Experience conducting direct labor studies and establishing operational standards. • Knowledge of tooling and fixturing requirements for manufacturing processes. • Ability to analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods, identifying improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and cost. • Experience in cost-reduction research, work-cell development, and material-flow improvements. • Capability to support development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. • Competence in developing capital equipment studies and budget recommendations. • Ability to review design concepts and provide recommendations for cost reduction and quality improvement. • Understanding of make-versus-buy evaluations and new product development cost assessments. • Ability to operate within approved budget parameters. • Commitment to safe work practices, workplace organization, and company training requirements.

Position Overview

The NPI Engineer develops, improves, and standardizes manufacturing processes to support new product introduction and ongoing production. Responsibilities include process documentation, labor studies, tooling definition, manufacturing method optimization, cost-reduction initiatives, equipment troubleshooting, and evaluation of new or existing part designs. The role also prepares capital equipment studies, contributes to budget planning, and supports procurement activities. The engineer is expected to collaborate across teams, maintain safety and quality standards, and execute special projects as assigned.
