As a Software Engineering Group Manager within PNC's Enterprise Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; or Denver, CO.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly accomplished Software Engineering Group Manager in our Enterprise Technology organization to lead the CTO Tools Engineering strategic portfolio. This role oversees multiple critical technology domains, including Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Tools, Enterprise Architecture Tools, and API Analytics and Engineering. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with a proven record of delivery, demonstrating the ability to build scalable, modern platforms and lead large, high-performing software engineering organizations. This role will also lead a significant expansion of the Enterprise Technology self-service framework, a foundational capability in the organization's strategy to scale and sustain support for its services.

This leader will guide senior engineering teams, collaborate closely with Architecture, product, and Infrastructure partners, and champion best in class engineering practices across the full software lifecycle. They will set high standards for code quality, system reliability, and modernization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement as they advance the CTO Tooling Strategy across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in software engineering, including senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple engineering teams or managers.
  • Proven delivery and transformation experience in large-scale, highly scalable environments.
  • Strong executive communication and influence skills.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Base Salary: $100,000.00 – $211,600.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
