Solutions Engineer (Manufacturing Data)

We are a diverse and growing team of solutions engineers within our Enterprise sales organization, supporting the entire EMEA region. We get to work with some of our most innovative and dynamic customers, helping them identify new ways to solve their business problems using our technology.

Our team is constantly evolving, with leaders committed to supporting your growth and development so that we can all achieve our best. We've established ourselves as a new role in the business over the past 4 years, and continue to evolve – we're not afraid of change and we adapt and respond to an agile sales environment. We strive to be the best partners to the teams we work with, supporting the growth of our customers' use of our technology.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your industry and software workflows expertise by partnering with a diverse range of customers. You will ask questions, demonstrate empathy, and communicate effectively, translating customer problems into solutions that meet their needs and drive our growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals across the Named Accounts sales and account teams, from account executives, technical solutions executives, and strategic industry executives to customer success managers, consulting, and technical account specialists.
  • Engage directly with customers, from site operatives all the way to the C-suite, via workshops, RFI/RFP responses, scoping pilots, on-site visits, and more.
  • Propose ways to improve workflows or solve customer problems, connecting the solutions to customer needs and highlighting the value provided.
  • Support strategic engagements within Autodesk to promote and grow our relationships.
  • Join a team that loves learning and tackling problems together.
  • Have a growth mindset, and bring your own experiences and ideas to the table to build on our shared success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in modern manufacturing environments, ensuring data continuity from planning to design, through construction and operation.
  • You should have a working knowledge and be skilled in the use of the technologies required to deliver these projects (Vault, Inventor, Fusion Manage, Flexsim etc.) – we're looking for hands-on technical people.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk solutions and workflows in the AEC and MFG industries (especially Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • A solution-focused approach to solving problems.
  • Fluent in English and one of German, Spanish, French and Swedish (additional languages are a plus!).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the EMEA region, some global travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of the competitive technical landscape would be beneficial, but not required.
  • Experience in data analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar. This skill can help in making data-driven decisions and presenting insights effectively.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL. This can be beneficial for automation and developing custom solutions.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills.
  • Experience or interest in sales-supporting function (e.g., presales).
  • Desire to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building.
  • Network builder, someone who is comfortable in building meaningful relationships.
  • Works without supervision and can manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of social media to strengthen industry profile and drive awareness with customers.
