Placer County is currently accepting applications to fill a Public Works Manager vacancy in the Department of Public Works – Environmental Engineering Division. This is an exciting leadership position which includes supervision of the Environmental Resources Team. This position will manage the ongoing management responsibilities associated with the Middle Fork Hydroelectric Project, Regional Water Planning, Sustainable Groundwater Management, Special Projects, Solid Waste Collection Compliance and Franchise Agreements, Material Recovery Facility Operations, Environmental Review for Capital Projects, Legislative Tracking and Lobbying, and Public Outreach.
The ideal candidate has a background in solid waste management, ground water, hydroelectric/hydrology, or engineering and completed major college course work in civil engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental sciences.
