Lake Nona Wave Events Sales Manager is responsible for proactively selling and contracting social and corporate events. You will create and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, Lake Nona Wave Hotel team members and our partners and vendors. You will manage the experience for event customers, acting as a main point of contact for the customer while communicating effectively with all related team members. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Strategically solicit corporate and social event business in the local and regional area
• Quickly and professionally respond to all event enquiries
• Establish strong rapport with clients, maintaining strong communication throughout the sales process
• Develop close relationship with clients to determine needs, expectations, etc.
• Work closely with the Area Director of Events as well as accounting to ensure billing and deposits are made timely according to contract
• Utilize Delphi to track inquiries, communication with clients and deadlines
• Conduct sales calls, webinars and presentations to potential clients
• Attend local trade shows, networking events and wedding fairs representing the hotel appropriately.
• Coordinate and conduct site tours for potential clients
• Follow up with clients following event for client feedback
• Responsible for reaching budgeted monthly and quarterly goals as assigned
• Handles walk-in inquiries.
• Maintain and execute all defined booking standards and criteria.
• Execute approved catering contract and all terms and conditions.
• Create and maintain all Banquet Event Orders, changes, and special requests.
• Develop menus and agendas, ensure BEO's are complete with all pertinent correspondence.
• Be the on-site contact for clients to ensure their satisfaction with set up and event timing.
• Work directly with the Area Director of Events for any event reporting, logistics, or miscellaneous requests.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Extraordinary networking and client relation skills and good knowledge of the local corporate catering market.
• Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and luxury service standards.
• Must have computer skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well organized, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to direct others and lead by example.
• Sales-oriented and exceptional interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
• Four (4) year degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous Food and Beverage catering event management experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking;
• Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance;
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
• Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
• While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
• Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat).
