The Wave Hotel in Lake Nona is seeking an inspiring leader to deliver exceptional service and lead an upbeat team. The Director of Operations is initially responsible for ensuring at a minimum the operation of Guest Services, Concierge, PBX, Housekeeping, Valet teams & IT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for going above and beyond and providing all guests with top-notch throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

1. Lead with vision and presence, inspiring a culture of genuine hospitality, excellence, and continuous growth across all operational teams.
2. Represent the General Manager in staff meetings, owner related engagements and other events & situations as delegated & determined necessary.
3. Uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, resolving concerns with grace, and ensuring every stay feels effortless.
4. Ensure all guest-facing technology performs flawlessly, and champion new innovations that enhance comfort, connection, and convenience.
5. Cultivate memorable experiences for VIPs and special guests through thoughtful personalization and attention to detail.
6. Partner with General Manager to optimize performance, elevate strategy, and maximize room profitability while maintaining brand integrity.
7. Steer financial success through active P&L engagement, forecasting, and disciplined management of controllable expenses.
8. Foster collaboration and communication across departments, creating a cohesive environment where service excellence thrives.
9. Develop, mentor, and celebrate talent, ensuring every team member feels empowered to deliver at the highest level.

Qualifications

• Degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Experience in luxury boutique or lifestyle hotel required.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong experience with Microsoft and PMS tools.
• Ability to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
