Automation Service Engineer III/IV

Pieper Automation is expanding and is looking for its next Automation Service Engineer to provide service and support to customers around Columbus, GA that require troubleshooting/repair of automation systems.

As a higher level position, this role requires significant experience in various brands and types of Automation hardware/software. Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial controls (PLC, HMI, VFD, SCADA) and field service work; or 5 years
• Minimum experience in industrial electrical field service and an advanced knowledge of wiring practices (NEC, UL).
• Minimum of 2 years of vocational or technical training in job related field, preferably construction electrical, industrial electrical, Automation System Technology, or similar discipline.
• A strong commitment to safety, placing safety as a priority above all else.
• Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
• Knowledge and experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens control systems along with others is required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand the customer's point-of-view.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel including customers, vendors, managers, field and office workers.
