The Nephrology/Urology Unit provides exceptional care for our fellow community members who require Hemodialysis and/or specialized urological care. All nurses hired to our unit will become trained in Peritoneal Dialysis, the only hospital in Athens to provide this service. Our Nurses work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient centered care. The Nephrology/Urology Unit is comprised of multiple skill levels with the support of experienced charge nurses and an energetic clinical manager. It is important to have a unit council with all disciplines to assist in making unit-based decisions to give the best patient care possible. Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
*Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios*
