About The Role

This role is responsible for significantly expanding PhonePe's footprint within the online merchant ecosystem. As an individual contributor, you will have full ownership of acquiring and onboarding key platform partners across the country, driving adoption of the PhonePe payment gateway. You will play a crucial role in building strategic partnerships to ensure sustainable growth and solidify PhonePe's position as a leader in online payments. This is a high-impact role that requires a hunter mentality, a passion for the digital payments space, and the ability to forge strong relationships with key decision-makers at major online businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the online PG partnership KAM team.
  • Identify and prioritize key partnership opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of partnership specialists.
  • Possess deep technical expertise in online payment gateways.
  • Track KPIs and report on partnership performance.
  • Identify and acquire new TSP/partner relationships within large and mid-sized merchants.
  • Develop and deliver compelling pitches highlighting the value of PhonePe Payment Gateway.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions for partner needs.
  • Stay informed about the digital payments landscape.
  • Achieve individual and team targets.
  • Manage P&L for assigned accounts.

Eligibility:

  • 4-8 years in online PG partnerships.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Travel/ Hospitality/E-commerce platforms is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
