The candidate will be responsible for managing the compliance requirements of PhonePe's Lending and Insurance Broking businesses by ensuring adherence to RBI Digital Lending guidelines, IRDAI regulations, circulars, guidelines, and other applicable regulatory requirements. The role will involve advising business teams on compliance aspects, implementing regulatory updates, maintaining effective reporting mechanisms, assisting in internal audits and ensuring robust compliance governance across the organization.
Track, interpret, and disseminate relevant RBI and IRDAI circulars, guidelines, and exposure drafts to stakeholders. Ensure timely implementation of new regulations and monitor their impact on business. Conduct compliance risk assessments, including analysis of regulatory penalty/warning orders. Review products, advertisements, and business proposals from a regulatory compliance perspective. Support preparation of compliance dashboards, regulatory updates, and committee presentations. Provide inputs on business projects and proposals to ensure compliance considerations are embedded before launch. Advise stakeholders on compliance risks. Assist in conducting thematic compliance reviews and support management reviews for lending partners. Support in regulatory inspections, audits, and submissions to IRDAI. Independently manage compliance checkpoints, trackers, and closures of gaps. Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on evolving regulatory expectations.
Graduate / Post Graduate with minimum 6-8 years of experience in compliance, regulatory and legal functions. Strong knowledge of Digital lending and / or IRDAI regulations and compliance practices in these sectors will be an added advantage. Excellent communication, drafting, and articulation skills. Proven ability to independently handle compliance tasks and responsibilities. Analytical mindset to interpret regulations and assess business impact. Stakeholder management and ability to provide enabling solutions. High ethical standards, diligence, and accountability in deliverables. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and timeliness. Team-oriented mindset with ability to contribute to collaboration and knowledge sharing.
