✨ About The Role
- The Materials Science Co-Op will work cross-functionally with the engineering team on various projects related to material, metal, chemical, and R&D engineering
- Responsibilities include performing experiments on tailings feedstock materials, formulating and optimizing separation techniques, and operating reactors for concentration and separation of critical materials
- The role involves material characterization using various analytical equipment, preparation of laboratory scale experiments, and documentation of process methods and results
- Additional tasks include supporting pilot design, maintaining a clean laboratory environment, and preparing reports and presentations of data and results
- The position offers a hands-on experience in a rapidly growing clean mining and metals production startup, providing exposure to cutting-edge technology and innovation in the field

- Ideal for a current university student pursuing a technical degree in fields like Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering
- Requires previous co-op or internship experience, preferably in Research & Development, Formulation, or Process Engineering
- Strong technical and communication skills are essential for success in this role
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced, flexible start-up environment
