Reputation and Risk is seeking an experienced Business Support Analyst Senior to join our team and provide data analytics services to the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Office. The incumbent will assist business operations by collecting highly complex data from trusted sources, using statistical techniques to analyze the data for trends, as well as generating reports and data visualizations that leaders will use to make informed decisions. Conduct data analytics activities for high profile initiatives, such as USAA's philanthropic, volunteer, and member-giving efforts. Make recommendations leading to the achievement of strategies and objectives. Provide coaching to junior business support analysts. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in the following location: San Antonio TX, Plano TX, Charlotte NC, Tampa FL, Colorado Springs CO or Phoenix AZ.

What You'll Do:

  • Develops and maintains an understanding of overall complex business functions.
  • Provides expertise in development of business goals and objectives.
  • Provides operational support on current complex processes.
  • Validates information and interfaces with other departments.
  • Participates in the planning, research, analysis, development, and implementation of new and modifications to existing applications.
  • Maintains broad system knowledge, stays current on all system enhancements.
  • Maintains broad business knowledge, stays current on key business strategies.
  • Assists with the documentation of new and revised departmental procedures.
  • Gathers information for complex processes, analyzes data and trends.
  • Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports and provides recommendations to improve matrix and reporting controls.
  • Develops and analyzes additional ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Contributes on policies, standards, risk management and controls related to relevant processes.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

What You Have:

Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

6 years of experience in end-to-end analysis and/or operations experience, including: requirement gathering and documentation, operational planning and forecasting, data analytics, or current/future state analysis, in direct support of business planning initiatives and optimization of business operations.

Advanced knowledge in a wide variety of systems coordination, process/product review initiatives and the development of management information requirements for related business functions.

Knowledge of business operations and systems/business requirements processes.

Experience facilitating and driving collaboration to common understanding of business requirements and driving standard enterprise wide business processes.

Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics.

Experience with data analysis and programming tools, such as SQL, Python and R.

What Sets You Apart:

3-5 years experience in predictive analytics.

3-5 years experience in prescriptive analytics.

3-5 years demonstrated experience in data management.

Experience with analyzing Marketing and Communications data.

Experience as a Data Scientist.

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is: $85,040- $162,550.
