Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in bridging operations and development, streamlining our software development and deployment process.

This role involves implementing and managing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating workflows, and enhancing system performance and stability. The engineer will contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance our competitive position.

Key responsibilities

  • Cloud Management (IaaS & PaaS): Develop, implement and troubleshoot solutions for applications and ecosystems of applications based on Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services (e.g., Azure VMs) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings, supporting current and future business functions
  • Containers Orchestration: Work with container orchestration tools Kubernetes and Kubernetes managed services (e.g., AKS) to manage containerized applications efficiently.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage Azure RBAC, maintaining role-based access controls, permissions, and security policies for Azure resources.
  • Financial Operations (FinOps): Optimize cloud costs by monitoring usage, analyzing spending patterns, and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Performance Optimization (PerfOps): Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and enhance scalability.

What we're looking for

  • University Background: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: More than 4 years of professional hands-on experience, ideally working with Azure.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with Azure IaaS & PaaS, Kubernetes, AKS, Azure RBAC, Microsoft Cost Management, Azure Monitor, etc. Hands-on experience in planning and implementing cloud and/or data center migrations. Previous work experience with infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform), configuration management tools (Ansible) and test automation tools is considered a plus.
  • Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate or higher. Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert are considered a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
