Sr. Test Development Engineer
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
- Work as a member of the Transducer Product Industrialization Engineering Team supporting both the introduction of exciting, new, state-of-the-art Ultrasound transducer products and providing feedback to the product design team in the area of design for testability (DfT).
- ISC Product Industrialization Engineer is responsible for engineering tasks associated with manufacturing test development, regulatory compliance, design transfer, qualifications, and introduction of products and their associated manufacturing test processes to meet cost and quality goals.
You are responsible for (but not limited to):
- Being an integral part of shaping the dynamics between the Test and R&D teams ensuring a collaborative team effort leading to on-time deployments.
- Developing new cost effective test strategies through partnering with other team members, Philips R&D specialists and third parties.
- Maintaining regulatory compliance according to Philips Healthcare quality system.
- Test solution maintenance, upgrade and creation per test requirements from product design team.
You are part of the fast-paced environment that places emphasis on a first time right approach, as such in-depth knowledge of product design, test solution design and regulatory compliance is expected.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Proficient English communication skills – incl. but not limited to good verbal, written and presenting skills.
- Min 5 years' experience developing test and measurement systems using modular instrumentation or similar is a must.
- A proven track record in working with cross-functional development teams to ensure timely and effective deployment of test solutions is a must.
- Experience with the design, use or test of printed circuit board preferred.
- Experience in medical device or other regulated industries preferred.
- Firmware programming capability preferred.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate aptitude for:
- Digital design requiring signal processing and transformation.
- Analog design requiring a frequency domain DC to at least 50 MHz.
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations. Indicate if this role is an office/field/onsite role.
