Director, Platform Operations

We are in an extraordinary position and are looking for the Director, Platform Operations. This role is essentially the COO of the Platform organization that develops Cesium, collaborating closely with Bentley's Chief Platform Officer to facilitate day-to-day execution and communication. The ideal candidate has proven success driving market-visible business outcomes; communicating to a breadth of stakeholders; and thriving in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Chief Platform Officer, facilitate the execution of the systems and processes for the execution of Bentley's global Platform organization and cross-organization collaboration across Bentley's ~6,000 colleagues
  • Support ramping up and integrating new core competences in our organization such as reaching new heights in product management, sales engineering, and data-driven business intelligence. This may entail recruiting; organization design and execution systems; training; etc.
  • Using a business-outcome driven approach, track our organization's investments and align investments to our biggest opportunities
  • Act as an operational shield to the Chief Platform Officer, enabling them to focus on strategy, by offloading tactical operations with a no job too big nor too small attitude
  • Curate the agenda for regular leadership and organization meetings, and manage follow up actions across teams with transparent systems and stakeholder alignment. This requires a significant amount of cross-team and cross-organization collaboration and communication

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience at a PE-backed mid-market technology company and/or late stage VC-backed technology company is preferred
  • A background in fields such as technology, finance, or people operations with a breadth of business experience, a mile wide even if only an inch deep in most functions
  • Exceptional communication in writing and in person. Ability to communicate to a breadth of stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and community members
  • Leadership skills with proven business outcomes. The ability to earn stakeholder buy-in and facilitate execution with the right level of visibility
  • Adaptable, humble, and always learning. Proven capable of working through steep learning curves
  • BS or MS in a related field or equivalent experience required
