Accounting Consultant Opportunities

Beacon Hill is staffing for several Accounting Consultant roles in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas. These positions sit onsite or hybrid and usually range anywhere from $25-40 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
• Perform account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end close activities
• Analyze financial statements and provide variance explanations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Support internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with system enhancements
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Staff, Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, AP, or AR Specialist or a similar accounting role
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting processes
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and ability to work with financial data sets
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams
