Pfizer Production Manager

Pfizer Puurs is the largest production site in Europe within the Pfizer network. The position is located within the Focus department, which consists of three filling lines (two equipped with inline inspection), two formulation centers, and two preparation centers.

Responsibilities include being the primary technical contact for operators in the assigned work center, leading and implementing improvement projects, contributing to the optimization of production activities, playing an active role in the PCT operations within Focus, and participating in larger projects within the department that impact various work centers.

Requirements include a Master's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience, a high degree of autonomy, a passion for continuous improvement and an extra sense for organizational sensitivities, strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate correctly and openly, the ability to achieve results through enthusiasm, and a focus on the positive and building on what works.

The Pfizer site in Puurs is one of the largest production and packaging sites of Pfizer worldwide, specialized in aseptic production and packaging. Annually, more than 400 million doses of injectable vaccines and medicines are produced in Puurs. These are packaged on-site in ampoules, vials, plastic bottles, syringes, and cartridges for pens.

The medicines made in Puurs are destined for patients in more than 170 countries worldwide. 30% of the production from Puurs is destined for developing countries, in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, GAVI, and NGOs.

With the use of two wind turbines, solar panels, and a combined heat and power plant, we focus on renewable energy.
