Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Pricing Specialist - Product Support at our Hillsboro, OR location.

The Pricing Specialist - Product Support supports the Parts, Service, and Sales departments within the Earthmoving business unit by creating quotes for parts and service work as well as assisting with the creation and maintenance of Standard Jobs within Caterpillar applications. This role will progress into assisting with quotes for machine rebuilds and complex repairs.

Essential Job Functions

• Create and transmit quotes to customers for parts and services, including but not limited to Customer Value Agreements (CVA's), Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI's), pull-through work, and other repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain an understanding of and ability to quote all needed repairs from Cat Inspect, TA1, and TA2 inspections.
• Utilize completed inspections performed by Service department to identify and quote needed repairs to gain incremental sales for the Parts and Service departments.
• Maintain and organize quotes within computer systems to allow for easy future reference and/or retrieval.
• Ensure quotes comply with Caterpillar pricing programs and most cost-effective repair options.
• Maintain a high level of coordination between Service, Parts, and Sales departments; relay important customer information between departments as needed.
• Work closely with Product Support Sales department to maximize close rate.
• Assist with creation and maintenance of Standard Jobs using the latest Cat applications and provide back-up and support to Standard Jobs Coordinator, as directed.
• Collaborate with Merchandising team to ensure all available and applicable discount programs are applied to quotes.
• Progress into quoting machine rebuilds and complex repairs.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Diesel Technology, Business Administration, or related field; and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Prior experience with heavy equipment or automotive parts and/or service is preferred.
