Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Overall purpose

Build and develop a fully integrated team that delivers strategic direction in building brands towards our consumers through advocacy, brand in hand experiential programs, trade advocacy and digital amplification.

About your role

Note, this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The key purpose of this role is to develop the relevant investment and activation strategy to create world class customer marketing plans across Pernod Ricard UK's Wine, Spirits and Champagne portfolio. The plan will marry up both brand and customer strategies with the most effective and innovative marketing solutions for mutual growth. Critical success of this role will be tuning category and consumers path to purchase and how best motivate conversion and advocacy at critical moments in the consumers purchasing decisions and consumption moments. Your team will be at the forefront of the path to purchase creating disruptive activation in key flagships brand venues, in key city centres across the UK, driving consumer footfall and purchase through advocacy, activation and digital amplification.

Key responsibilities

  • Customer Marketing Activation Plans: Lead the development of customer marketing plans, brands dependent upon role; with key internal stakeholders and managing key agency relationships
  • Manage the development and implementation of key customer marketing plans
  • Manage an integrated customer activity calendar; making recommendations for investment choices on a quarterly basis (in line with LE reviews)
  • To proactively contribute to an evaluation culture; adopting a framework for activity evaluation and developing key learnings which can be acted upon to deliver better execution
  • Lead the evaluation of key customer marketing activities; based on sales uplift, ROI, brand objectives and KPI's
  • To proactively make recommendations for the development of key customer selling tools (ie selling decks, brand fact sheets) to support sell-in of brand initiatives
  • To deliver category/channel based presentations for key customer reviews (ie Brand Planning Days, Sales cycle)
  • To lead the development of price tracking tools for use across customer & brand teams
  • Responsibility for customer marketing budget for your dedicated brand
  • Monthly reconciliation of A&P spend
  • To manage key customer management projects and participate in functional team meetings as required
  • Creating disruptive and engaging activation within the On-Trade leading in the spirts and wine categories
  • Additional reasonable duties as required
  • This role is a critical interface between the brand and sales and a clear communicator, effectively communicating key brand and customer plans across the business.
  • The Customer Marketing Executive will be responsible for the development and implementation of customer plans across both the On Trade and multiple touchpoints.
  • Financial responsibility for customer marketing A&P delivering accurate reporting
  • Monthly reconciliation of A&P with team and Finance team
  • Annual allocation of A&P by customer, trackers complete on time and adhering to the guidelines
  • Evaluation of campaigns ROI and adhering to our Matrix and Extract recommendations

Key Relationships

  • Report to Customer Marketing Lead
  • Works closely with Commercial stakeholders across all areas in the On-Trade
  • Works closely with all Marketing teams to ensure full alignment against all projects and events – consultation and delivery of briefs
  • Sales teams to communicate and reinforce brand plans, negotiate and agree Customer Marketing activity, and gather customer intelligence during regular meetings
  • Finance department for budgets and A&P process
  • Key agencies to lead the development of activities and ensure effective implementation
  • Category Management team – CGA to create commercial proposition
  • Brand In Hand Team – Brand Activation Team, BEAT team, Managed Customer Marketing
