This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of customer equipment as assigned. This position is trained in at least two skill sets, maintains a high level of productivity, must have three of the four CFESA certifications and is assigned to the on-call roster. This position demonstrates leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and train other employees.
Major responsibilities include adhering to all safety policies and procedures, troubleshooting and repairing gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment, utilizing a tablet to document tasks, communicating professionally with customers regarding required repairs and status, using proper tools for repair, monitoring truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked on vehicle, maintaining service vehicle, tools and uniforms, working independently with daily supervision, participating as scheduled for weekend/holiday on-call rotation and working regular overtime as needed.
Additional responsibilities include obtaining correct part numbers through branch parts person, collecting payment on COD jobs, contributing positively to branch targets for response time and first time fix rates, participating in available training to increase skill and knowledge, and performing other duties as required.
Contacts include daily interaction with branch staff and occasionally with corporate staff internally, and frequent and regular contact with customers externally, with occasional contact with factories for warranty purposes.
Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age, completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen, three years of applicable experience, a valid driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards, and CFESA Master Technician with three of the four CFESA certifications.
