Systems Engineer

Junior Systems Engineer

Peraton is looking for a junior Systems Engineer to support our team in Quantico, VA. You'll be part of a maintenance team responsible for the installation, configuration, optimization, and testing of network, video, and phones services used on a government network.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical support for the end users. Support may take various forms, including phone conversations, email messages, and virtual interaction.
• Reviewing test plans/procedures and ensuring they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participating in the testing process to validate requirements.
• Compiling monthly metrics to produce to the government and ensuring requirements comply with client requirements.
• Working with the operations Engineers and Application Support Engineers to support the operation and maintenance of all components of the System's environment.
• Using a holistic approach, designing, developing, evaluating, and modifying end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
• Assessing performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
• Supporting on-call schedule.
• Operations may be 24/7.

Required qualifications include:

• Experience with troubleshooting computer hardware/software and networking systems
• A current/active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
• 2 years with AS/AA; 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree

Desired qualifications include:

• Tier II support experience
• Experience with Active Directory, RSA Tokens and SharePoint

Target salary range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
