We are seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to serve as a technical authority and strategic advisor, guiding the design, integration, and optimization of complex systems across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. This role supports Government leadership in applying a multi-disciplinary engineering approach—spanning requirements engineering, solution design, reliability, resiliency, integration, testing, and sustainment—to deliver accurate, timely, and mission-ready GEOINT capabilities.

Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other STEM degree.Equivalent Experience:

Security Clearance:
TS/SCI adjudication or eligibility to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.Education:
Doctorate in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific field (as listed above).Certifications & Professional Credentials:
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise and tool experience
Software Development Framework certification
INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification

Membership or leadership participation in organizations such as:
ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, USGIF
Extensive experience in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) operations and solutions engineering.
Technical expertise in cloud-based solutions, including: SOA, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, on-demand self-service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service.
Experience designing solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data, automation, augmentation, and artificial intelligence technologies.
Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related disciplines.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
