Devops Engineer (senior)

Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of DevSecOps infrastructure tools and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-based deployments, automation, security, and system integration, ensuring scalable and secure operations.

In this role you will:

1. Integrate security practices, tools, and measures into the entire DevOps pipeline, including development, testing, deployment, and operations.
2. Automate security testing, scanning, and compliance checks throughout the development lifecycle.
3. Implement automated security controls such as static code analysis, dynamic application security testing (DAST), container scanning, and vulnerability assessment.
4. Establish mechanisms for continuous monitoring of application and infrastructure security.
5. Collaborate with architects and developers to design and implement secure software architectures and infrastructure.
6. Conduct security reviews and assessments of system designs, architectures, and implementations.
7. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 270001.
8. Develop incident response plans and procedures for security breaches and incidents.
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies.

Qualifications:

• A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Minimum of 10 years with AS/AA; Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Additional four years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
• Proficiency in Linux-based environments, scripting, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in network security, cluster computing, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with open-source monitoring solutions and DevSecOps best practices.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
