Job Description

Job Overview: The driver salesman is responsible for the delivering of goods to customers, promoting the company's brand (bread) products, collecting payments (where applicable) and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role combines driving, customer services and sales duties.

• Ensuring timeous delivery of goods to the customer.
• Excellent management of goods on routes as per the procedure of the company.
• Good understanding of customer service. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Ability to identify gaps/opportunities in the local market.
• Balancing Driver's books (B2 and B3 returns) – basic knowledge of reconciliation process.
• Being accountable for respective routes allocated to the Driver.
• Minimizing Driver's Shorts, where applicable.
• Liaising with relevant Sales Representative.
• Good Crate Control.
• Compliance: Follow all traffic and safety laws and company policies, including health and safety regulations.
• Ensuring the delivery vehicles are clean, well-maintained and safe to operate. Report and mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of stock in the delivery vehicle, including returns or damaged goods.

Qualifications

• Matric or NQF3 (shortlisted applicants will be assessed).
• Driver's License (Code 10) and PDP.
• Excellent driving skills with training in Defense driving.
• Excellent communication Skills.
• Exceptional disciplinary and attendance record throughout employment.
