Data Engineer Opportunity

The Data Engineer plays a key role in connecting the systems that generate information and the platforms that transform it into value. Their purpose is to ensure that data integrates and flows reliably between local and cloud environments, allowing digital solutions to operate with precise, available, and traceable information.

This position combines skills in databases, infrastructure, and data architecture. It involves both the construction of pipelines and automations as well as the management of virtual environments. It works collaboratively with technical and business teams, contributing to a more efficient, stable, and aligned data operation with the strategic needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

Your impact

• Design, implement, and maintain data integration processes between internal systems and local databases.
• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines that consolidate information from different sources.
• Configure and manage virtual machines and on-premise servers that support data environments.
• Align solutions with established technical architectures and guidelines.
• Automate operational tasks through scripting or specialized tools.
• Collaborate with backend and analytics teams to maintain consistent and documented integrations.
• Monitor, debug, and continuously improve data integration and storage processes.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for

• Proven experience in advanced SQL (queries, procedures, optimization, and administration).

• Engineering or related degree

• Knowledge in database modeling and design of relational structures.

• Experience in data integration processes and ETL/ELT development.

• Management of virtualized environments and on-premise servers (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or similar).

• Knowledge in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

• Ability to interpret data architectures and corporate technical structures.

• Intermediate English

• Availability to travel (National and international)

• Desirable:

• Knowledge of Azure environments (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).

• Familiarity with KepServerEX or other OT-IT integration tools.

• Experience with industrial systems (SCADA, Historian, MES).

• Practices in monitoring, performance tuning, and technical documentation.

Location: CDMX or Monterrey
