Your tasks and responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

  • The position will be involved in projects including, but not limited to, packaging materials and process evaluations as well as various scientific studies intended to support the technical packaging engineering team and packaging site;
  • Execution of protocols authored by full time engineering will be the primary expectation and the candidate may be asked to author and execute protocols independently during the assignment;
  • Execution of protocols typically requires working with packaging operations staff to ensure the protocol is understood and followed, and that all required samples are obtained and submitted to the appropriate laboratory;
  • Analysis of results will be expected by the end of the assignment;
  • In addition, the position will be involved in the execution of distribution studies and supporting and/or independent assignments from various packaging development tasks and projects from technical packaging engineering team;
  • Typical workday includes working with COE technical packaging engineering team and site packaging engineering team with varying levels of experience on their project tasks and eventually be assigned one or more packaging development related projects to manage independently.

Who you are: Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

  • Required qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Packaging, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or Packaging Technology; Completion of at least 1 year in Bachelor studies; Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Must have in-depth knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Workand Excel; Must have excellent organizational skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Preferred qualifications: Completion of 2nd year in Bachelor studies in Packaging, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or Packaging Technology; Minitab skills are not mandatory but highly desirable.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $23.20 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
