Security Specialist

Top skills required: CCTV installation and support, access control systems, alarm systems, low voltage. Experience with security platforms such as S2, Avigilon, Galaxy, Paxton, HID, Keri, and Brivo is required. This is a contract to hire position. During the contract period, you will be driving your own vehicle.

Job Overview

This role involves installing, configuring, supporting, monitoring, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting security systems and software at various customer sites. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who demonstrates professionalism, independence, and a commitment to continuous growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security projects and service calls on time and within budget
• Conduct high-level assessments and develop proposals based on customer needs, costs, and risk/benefit analysis
• Lead teams effectively, delegate tasks, and maintain a professional image while interacting with clients
• Solve customer challenges creatively and efficiently
• Apply solid project and time management skills while mentoring junior team members

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in installation and service within the security industry
• Proficiency in video surveillance, access control, intrusion/fire alarms, perimeter security, traffic control, door hardware, and locksmithing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and low-voltage wiring experience
• Familiarity with general contracting practices
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Visio or CAD is a plus
• Valid PA driver's license required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
