Casual Pool Specialist

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Position Purpose: As a Casual Pool Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within our residential and/or day programs. This is a part-time, flexible, as-needed position, offering you the opportunity to make a difference while tailoring your work schedule to your needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide direct support to individuals with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, etc.) and activities.
  • Assist with implementing person-centered plans, promoting independence and individual choices.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment, encouraging social interaction and emotional well-being.
  • Document progress and observations accurately and concisely.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including direct support professionals, program coordinators, and supervisors.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma OR Equivalence
  • Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle
  • Access to transportation travel locally
  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB
  • Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment

Schedule: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position

  • Must work a minimum of 4 work shifts per month
  • Flexible role where you can pick the shifts that would work best for you.
  • Ability to pick up additional shifts if that meets your individual needs.
  • This position will require working rotating shifts, which might include weekends and holidays.
