Residential Services Aide (2nd Shift) - Selinsgrove Center

As a Residential Services Aide, you will assist staff in the development, delivery, and monitoring of treatment and related services provided at Selinsgrove Center. You will deliver services in the areas of self-care, socialization, and health maintenance that supports each resident's Individual Habilitation Plan/Individual Support Plan (IHP/ISP). You will also record information, monitor individuals, and assist with revising IHP/ISPs as necessary. This role requires attentive care skills to observe changes in individual physical status and effective communication to inform the Community Registered Nurse of additional resident service needs. In addition, you will escort individuals to various activities, participate in housekeeping functions, and assist with purchasing appropriate personal items that maximize therapeutic environments.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will have rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,521.00 (before taxes).
Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Other Requirements:
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
