Slight travel to WCA North Offices may be required to assist with staffing/team needs. Our UPMC Physician Services team is looking for a full-time Patient Services Representative that will work Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm, located at our Womancare Associates office at Magee Women’s Hospital (300 Halket Street, Suite 5120, Pittsburgh, PA 15213)! A Patient Services Representative is responsible for welcoming patients upon arrival, promoting the usage of new and emerging consumer-friendly technologies, educating patients on their co-payments and financial obligations and collecting payments when applicable, scheduling subsequent appointments within the continuum of care, connecting patients to financial advocacy resources when appropriate, updating patients’ demographics and insurance coverage information, and promoting an overall culture of service excellence. This individual will also be responsible for daily chart preparation (including collating of consents, intake questionnaires, NES records), patient check-in and discharge, appointment scheduling, in-basket management, and other direct patient care activities. In addition to their primary responsibilities, a PSR at our Magee office may also assist with coordinating patient flow, supporting administrative tasks and helping with special projects as needed. Responsibilities:
Completion of high school graduate or equivalent is required. Experience with personal computer-based applications, other various office equipment and proficient typing skills are preferred. Two years of experience in a medical/billing/fiscal or customer service function is strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems is preferred.
